I didn't realize when purchasing this book it was only 16 pages long! (there are blank pages making it seem a tiny bit bigger.) What a waste of money--but, my bad for not looking into it further---I assumed for the price it was a regular size book--not a glorified pamphlet! So pay attention!
The book started out cute, and the poems were humorous. However, on page 8, the poems end and the book continues with a non-fiction guide on the Measles and from a different author (see photos attached to this review). This guide goes on for 26 pages about the Measles AND it's riddled with grammatical errors and sentences!!!! Will be returning.
Cute poems but this is hardly a book. It’s 16 small pages (not including the insane number of blank pages to make the book appear longer.) It looks and feels like something printed at Kinkos on 8.5x11 copy paper and folded in half and bound in card stock. It was going to be a holiday gift but it’s being demoted to a stocking stuffer.
Once I laughed my socks off, poems for silly kids by Steve AttewellStory for kids where they have to imagine what socks running down the street would be like, and then not being able to put them on cuz they just want to dance around the house.Another story is of the teddy bear that raids the fridge at night and eats all the leftovers.3 other stories are included, very funny silly stories.
I am not a poem person since I don't understand most of them but I loved the title and cover and it was free! These were really cute and I could picture what the different characters were doing while reading these poems. A couple reminded me of Dr. Seuss. Very cute and I think kids and adults will get a kick out of them.
I am a nanny and the father loves poetry. The children love silly jokes and making them up. This was a funny book that both the children and their Daddy love!
The poems in this book are quite cute.The author reminds me of Shel Silverstein, but maybe a little funnier.This would make a great book to read before bedtime for young children.
I got this for the 4th grade poetry project for my daughter. She is a reluctant reader, but these poems were so funny and engaging for her, that she read her assigned number of poems without complaint. She even memorized one to share with the class.
